RtI expert Matthew Burns’ focus will be geared to the elementary level; however, the content is an excellent introduction to RtI concepts for all grades.
What is RtI and Why We Do It?
Burns will focus on an analysis of RtI and discuss important topics such as:
- How did we get to the RtI Model?
- Re-thinking learning disabilities
- Progress monitoring and data-based decision making in the context of RtI
- The assessment challenge for school systems in implementing RtI
- Deficit, Difference and Variability: How should we conceptualize literacy learning difficulties in the context of RtI?
