Minnesota Promising Practices Award Program

These awards recognize schools in Minnesota that have developed and implemented a specific practice that promotes character development in their schools. These practices must be: specific, unique and transferable, provide measurable results and impact, and encompass at least one of the eleven principles.

A Blue-Ribbon Panel will select practices deemed to qualify as Minnesota Promising Practices and they will be recognized along with the Minnesota Schools of Character awardees at a statewide celebration in May. The Promising Practices will be posted to the CAE website to share with others.

All Minnesota Promising Practice applications must be submitted electronically to the Center for Academic Excellence by March 1, 2010.
